The Minnesota Vikings dropped their first game of the season in Philadelphia on Sunday in a brutal 21-10 affair.
A bye week didn’t seem to help the Vikings. Instead, Sam Bradford and company came out quite rusty. He was sacked six times and threw an interception in the end zone to help kill an early scoring drive.
Unfortunately, Minnesota’s loss means there are no undefeated teams left in the NFL. And yes, once again those dreaded 1972 Miami Dolphins are off the hook.
I’ve mentioned this before but what the 2007 Patriots did has far greater weight to me. They went 16-0 in the regular season and actually went 18-0 before you know what happened.
So, the ’72 Dolphins are the holders of this record by a technicality and not because they were awesome.
Minny’s defeat drops the Vikes to 5-1 on the season. Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks on winning the NFC.
