Due to wide-ranging circumstances that you’re likely to not care about, it’s been since April since yours truly last dove into the National Football League.
I’ve stood on the sidelines long enough. Yes, Tom Brady has basically supplanted Joe Montana as the greatest quarterback of all-time and I probably should either re-name the blog tombradysrightarm.com or go fishing but work still needs to be done.
It’s time to rage against the machine once again as the 98th NFL season commences in August.
We’ll be back to chronicle it all as the New England Patriots attempt to do something that only the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to do in the Super Bowl era – win back to back Super Bowls…twice.
Pittsburgh won Super Bowls during the ’74 and ’75 seasons and then, followed it up with titles in the ’78 and ’79 campaigns.
I’m not sure the Patriots will win it again but this season promises to be another beautiful disaster.
Let’s get back to it, shall we?
