Finally, the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to topple Tom Brady and the New England Patriots at something…jersey sales.
Incredibly, Tom Brady was knocked off his perch atop NFL jersey sales by a rookie running back this week.
James Conner, a University of Pittsburgh product and a Steelers third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, topped Brady in jersey sales last week despite being unlikely to be more than a backup this season.
The former Pitt Panther is an inspirational story due to a battle with cancer that started in 2015. Conner overcame it to lead the Panthers in rushing last season and land with the Steelers.
It’s an incredible accomplishment and a testament to Steelers fans throughout the country that Le’Veon Bell’s backup is the best-selling jersey in the NFL.
