Martellus Bennett Is Not Interested In Dying On The Field

MartyB

New York Jets safety Jamal Adams stated on Monday that he would have no problem with literally dying on a football field.

The somewhat crazy and over the top comments by Adams were backed up by teammate Morris Claiborne.

Strong takes indeed, fellas.

Once Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett got a hold of those comments, he had quite a different perspective:

Of course, this all stems from recent reports regarding the brains of former NFL players being impacted by CTE.

The discussions regarding concussions and the quality of life for players post-playing days has certainly amplified over the last decade.

With news coming out recently that the NFL backed out of a partnership with the National Institution of Health, those discussions are only going to get louder and louder.

Hey guys, let’s make a deal.

Nobody needs to die on a football field, agreed?
