The JMRA Hall of Fame – Nominee #1: Randy Moss

This is the first nominee in our set of 20 that are eligible for the JMRA Hall of Fame. The five biggest vote getters will be admitted into the Hall along with the Editor’s Choice award winner. The JMRA Hall of Fame honors contributors to the National Football League; and/or an individual/group who enlightened society (most notably the website) through football or other means.

The man dubbed “Superfreak” kicks off our balloting for the JMRA Hall of Fame Class of 2010.

The former Viking, Raider, and now Patriot receiver has carved out a career that will put him in another Hall of Fame five years following his retirement. Despite never playing on a Super Bowl winner, Moss’ impact in the league is undeniable.

The two highest scoring offenses in NFL history (’07 Patriots and ’98 Vikings), each had one thing in common…Moss. It’s also not an accident that those two teams posted a combined regular season record of 31-1.

I’m not going to bore you with the countless mentions of statistics. Just watch this video. Insanity.

Also, as a bonus, from postgame quotes to hair style, few players in recent NFL memory have been as entertaining as Moss.
