Teammates Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree had to be separated after practice on Wednesday by Niners head coach Mike Singletary in what is being described as a “non-football matter.”
Davis, who is the team’s captain, is rumored to not exactly be enamored with Crabtree’s work ethic.
Even though Singletary deemed the captain’s actions as inappropriate, this is a part of an amazing turnaround for Davis, who was verbally undressed by his head coach during the 2008 season for not being a team player.
Both players will play a key role in a potential run to the playoffs for San Francisco. It’s rather clear that Davis is going to make Crabtree tow the team line…or else.
