While the NFC West chase is far from over, the 49ers are in trouble at 0-3.
After their 31-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday, someone’s head was likely to fall prey to the NFL guillotine.
That someone turned out to be offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye. Quarterbacks coach Mike Johnson will step in for Raye as offensive coordinator.
While San Fran’s offense is not solely responsible for Sunday’s debacle at Arrowhead Stadium, they have not helped matters for a team that entered the season with playoff aspirations.
Atlanta and Philadelphia are next up for the Niners and if they can’t figure out their offensive woes, they’ll be staring at 0-5.
Regardless of what anyone thinks of the NFC West, no team will get out of that type of hole.
