Saints Relinquish Lombardi; Stunned By Seahawks

Normally, 36 points should be enough to win a playoff game. However, against a 7-9 team, that was not the case.

The New Orleans Saints saw their run as NFL champion come to a screeching halt in Seattle following a shocking 41-36 loss to the Seahawks.

Much of the running back talk heading into game regarded Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory of New Orleans but it was Marshawn Lynch who stole the show.

The former Buffalo Bill went beastmode on an electrifying 67-yard touchdown run that put Seattle up by 11 and helped close the curtain on the world champs.

Seattle now plays Chicago or Atlanta, depending on the result on Sunday’s game between the Eagles and Packers.

A Green Bay win would place Seattle in Chicago; while an Eagle triumph places the Seahawks in Atlanta.

Incredibly, the Seahawks are still in play to host the NFC Championship game.

Well done, Seattle.
