Last time we saw Lee Evans, he was busy getting stripped by New England Patriots defensive back Sterling Moore during the AFC title game in what should have been a game-winning reception that propelled Baltimore into Super Bowl XLVI.
Instead, Evans was unable to cradle the ball in the end zone in the closing moments of January’s AFC title tilt that Baltimore lost 23-20.
Today, Baltimore announced it was terminating the contract of Evans.
He caught just four passes during nine regular season games after arriving in Baltimore following eight seasons in Buffalo.
Thanks for the memories Lee.
In case you’re wondering, Billy Cundiff is still employed.
