The NFL released its 2012 schedule on Tuesday night with its usual parade of blockbuster games.
One of the season’s more intriguing games takes place in Week 2 when the Baltimore Ravens visit the Philadelphia Eagles.
If recent history holds form, the Ravens could be in store for a date with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
In a scheduling oddity, the Eagles have opened at home against the last three eventual Super Bowl champions.
Back in ’09, Drew Brees and the Saints battered Philly 48-22; one year later, Clay Matthews indirectly started the Michael Vick era during a 27-20 Green Bay victory; and Victor Cruz busted a move in New York’s 29-16 triumph in 2011.
Since Joe Flacco is “the best quarterback in football” this should be a snap.
Be sure to save some room for Omar at the parade.
