It’s over. It’s all over.
The Philadelphia Eagles occupy last place in the NFC East with the Washington Redskins after another dreadful effort; this time versus the arch-rival Dallas Cowboys in 38-23 loss.
Quarterback Michael Vick left the game in the first half with a concussion and gave way to backup and preseason darling Nick Foles.
A favorite with the fans, Foles did little to impress after replacing Vick. He finished 22 of 32 for 219 yards with a touchdown and interception.
However, two Foles turnovers were returned for scores by Dallas; a third was negated by a defensive holding penalty.
Fans and pundits have called for Foles over the last few weeks; now, it appears they may get their chance at an elongated look at the future – or lack thereof.
Meanwhile, a car was set on fire in front of Lincoln Financial Field prior to today’s loss. No big deal.

If there was a pregnant woman and a puppy inside that flame-engulfed car, Eagles fans may have trumped the efforts of Raiders and Dodgers fans in terms of making their parking lots post-apocalyptic.
