Scott Mitchell Is A Bit Hefty These Days; To Appear On Biggest Loser

Former Detroit Lions quarterback Scott Mitchell will be appearing on NBC’s reality show The Biggest Loser in order to shed some of his extra weight.

Mitchell, who once checked in at 240 during his playing days, ballooned up to 366 pounds (!!) since retiring in 2002.

While the 46-year-old Mitchell made his bones as a quarterback for the Lions, he may be best remembered for parlaying his sub stint for an injured Dan Marino in 1993 into a starting role with the Detroit Lions one year later.

These days, Mitchell is a bill collector in Utah.

Meanwhile, former New England Patriots offensive lineman Damien Woody will also appear on the program. Woody checks in just south of 400 pounds these days.

The Biggest Loser airs beginning on September 11.
