Ted Wells, the man who took four months to write a report about ball deflation during January’s AFC title game, returns to resume his role as investigator supreme on Tuesday.
Wells will be on hand in New York when Tom Brady’s appeal to his four-game suspension will be heard by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Reportedly, he will explain any questions regarding the Wells report from Brady’s counsel including Jeffrey Kessler.
Recently, the Wells report came under fire from the American Enterprise Institute and that could play a role in Tuesday’s proceedings.
Unless Brady’s suspension gets wiped clean, this could be just another leg in a long, laborious legal matter.
Bring a lunch folks. An appearance by Wells may very well give Brady’s defense to rip holes in the report in front of the commish.
