Wife Of Redskins GM Apologizes For Tweeting ESPN Reporter Performed Blow Jobs For Story

JessicaMcCloughanJessica McCloughan, wife of Washington Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan, issued an apology on Wednesday night after she accused an ESPN reporter of exchanging sexual favors for a story.

The conflict arose out of the rubble of the ongoing Robert Griffin III saga in Washington. Reportedly, Redskins coaches wanted RGIII out of Washington while team brass wanted him to stay in D.C.

The story, reported by ESPN’s Dianna Russini, was not received well by Mrs. McCloughan. She took to Twitter to express her angst on Sunday by saying Russini gave out blow jobs in exchange for that story.

RedskinsTweetLate Wednesday night, the Redskins claimed that McCloughan’s tweet was from a fake account. Unfortunately for the Redskins organization, their own GM followed up the team statement by saying the tweet was indeed from his wife.

Soon after, Mrs. McCloughan released a statement on the controversy and apologized:

“I deeply apologize for the disparaging remarks about an ESPN reporter on my personal Twitter account. The comment was unfounded and inappropriate, and I have the utmost respect for both the reporter and ESPN. I regret that my actions have brought undeserved negative attention to the Redskins organization and its leadership. My comments in no way reflect the opinions or attitudes of the organization and I regret that my behavior has in any way negatively impacted the team and its loyal fan base.”

Remember when the Redskins were the toast of the NFL?

Yeah, that was a long, long, long time ago.
