From the “we don’t understand how social media works yet” department, the NFL tweeted a photo yesterday about who would meet in Super Bowl 50.
The image included several “elite” quarterbacks including Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Drew Brees, and…Carson Palmer.
Clearly, the reigning, defending Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady is missing from the picture. Considering this is the same league that invited Brady to the Super Bowl MVPs ceremony at Super Bowl 50 next February makes this all the more hilarious.
After getting clobbered on social media, the NFL quickly deleted the tweet.
It’s one thing to have Carson Palmer, who has never won a playoff game, on the photo but to not have Brady, who is months removed from leading the Patriots to a Super Bowl victory?
This appears like sour grapes on the NFL’s behalf after Brady defeated The Shield in court on Thursday.
