Super Bowl XLIX MVP Tom Brady will be suspended for the first four games of the 2015 NFL season for his role in the New England Patriots deflating footballs prior to the AFC Championship contest versus the Indianapolis Colts.
Also, the NFL took away New England’s first-round pick in 2016 and a fourth-round pick in 2017 and fined $1 million by the league.
Meanwhile, Patriots employees John Jastremski and Jim McNally were suspended indefinitely while the former will be barred from handling footballs.
The league issued a letter to the team citing Brady’s failure to comply with the investigation by not turning over e-mails and his cell phone despite assurances that personal information would not be released.
Get ready, this may be another chapter in this story. Don Yee, Tom Brady’s agent, made the media rounds last week ripping up the league. It’s easy to figure Brady and his legal team will aim to appeal this suspension.
