Shortly before Roger Goodell’s scheduled appearance on ESPN’s Mike & Mike this morning, the Worldwide Leader rolled out a new report on Spygate stating that Goodell covered up a scandal that was far worse than originally reported.
To say it is rather dubious that “new” information on Spygate was released the Tuesday after Labor Day weekend is well, an understatement.
Anyhow, ESPN pulled the Band-Aid off of an eight-year-old wound, which caused significant outrage as usual.
However, one item unearthed today came from a 1992 Cowboys/Redskins game called the legendary broadcasting duo of Pat Summerall and John Madden.
At one point during the telecast, Madden said that during division games teams often had videotaped the signals of the opponents.
Sound familiar?
